The recent flood in our state damaged thousands of our neighbor’s homes. The United Methodist Church’s Emergency Response Teams are in their final stage of tarping and cleaning out. We are now ready to begin the rebuild process, which may take well over a year. United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) will be at the center of this effort to assist those in need. There are teams from as far away as New York and Ohio making plans to work in South Carolina.
We need your help. In order to lead an UMVIM repair team you must receive team leader training. There will be a training on November 21, 2015 at Belin Memorial UMC in Murrells Inlet, SC. The class will begin at 9:30 and conclude by 3:00.
