If you’re among the many who have been watching in horror as wildfires have ravaged the southeastern United States and wondered what you can do to help, read on.
The United Methodist Committee on Relief has put out the call for health kits and bedding kits, anticipating stepped-up need as the smoke clears from the fires.
“Our inventory is not quite where we would like it be should we be called to respond to another disaster,” said Amy Fuselier, director of UMCOR’s Sager Brown Depot. “In light of the on-going fires in Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina, I expect that requests for kits will soon occur.
“If you and your congregation are able to assist with this request, that would truly be a blessing.”
