Due to the sharp increase in COVID-19 cases across South Carolina, Revolution 2021 will take place on January 30 at 6:30 p.m. as an all-virtual, conference-wide gathering, rather than as three regional, in-person events.
The SCMYP Revolution Design Team made this change with the primary concern of protecting all potential participants. As you are aware, South Carolina has reported the highest daily numbers of COVID-19 cases in the past week – crossing the 3,000-case mark for several days in a row.
“I was reminded this week of the power of God’s love as expressed in Romans 8:39,” said Chris Lynch, director of South Carolina Ministries with Young People. “‘Nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
“Even in the midst of this global pandemic – during which we have been separated from so much of what makes our lives seem normal – we know that we are never separated from the love of God.
“Our prayer is that, even though we will not be able to gather physically, we will experience a togetherness at Revolution that can only be explained through the lens of the love of Christ.”
Youth groups can pay $25 to register for digital access only, or pay $25 per person for digital access and a Revolution 2021 T-shirt for each person.
