Registration is open for the 2019 Licensing School in the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Certified candidates seeking to be licensed and to receive an appointment at the 2019 Annual Conference must attend a full week of classes at the White Oak Conference Center in Winnsboro April 29-May 4, as well as two subsequent two-day sessions at the United Methodist Conference Center in Columbia May 10-11 and May 24-25.
Registration deadline is April 23. Contact your district office for more information about how to register.
Persons must be certified candidates to participate, and only those projected to be appointed at the 2019 Annual Conference should attend. Provisional members (including those being commissioned at Annual Conference) must attend the May 24-25 session if they already have not attended Licensing School in the past.
The cost of the school is $700 for all three sessions or $50 for the May 24-25 session only.
Scholarships are available for those being appointed, but those interested in requesting assistance must contact the Rev. Mel Arant, director of the Licensing School, at marant@umcsc.org before registering to attend.
