Your prayers are requested for the victims and survivors of deadly tornadoes and severe storms that damaged homes and buildings in Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi on Saturday and Sunday.
The Weather Channel reports that at least 19 people were killed – 15 in southern Georgia alone – in the two-day onslaught.
The National Weather Service confirmed that two tornadoes struck South Carolina over the weekend, injuring one woman, The State newspaper reports. The first storm was reported Saturday afternoon in Barnwell County and moved into Bamberg County. One woman was trapped in a damaged mobile home near Blackville. The other twister occurred minutes later in Orangeburg County.
