As leaders of the church we long for our people to move past shallow surface level relationships and into authentic Christ-centered relationships with one another. But wanting that and seeing it happen are two different things. Truth is we aren’t very good at community and our relationships are often flakey shallow versions of what we know they could be. Christ-centered community doesn’t just happen on its own, but it is intentionally built and carefully sustained.
This is what ONE is all about. If you are a church leader or member who is eager to move your people into intentional communities and grow your small group ministry than be sure to join us on August 26th for a teaching church event at Mt Horeb UMC in Lexington, SC from 10-3pm. This event will be taught by Nick Cunningham, the discipleship director at Mt. Horeb. Nick is passionate about people connecting in a deep meaningful ways and his new book, ONE, is the curriculum that will be covered. You can find more information through Cokesbury book stores.
The cost is $25 and includes a copy of the book and lunch. Contact Nick@mthorebumc.com for more information. You can register at www.mthorebumc.com/one/
