Classes Offered
Basic Course- Lay Servant Ministries: Lyn Shore-Hollis
Participants are encouraged to discover and employ personal spiritual gifts as God intended and to consider the importance of exercising servant leadership, developing future leaders, remaining rooted in consistent spiritual practices, and being part of a group that holds members accountable in their discipleship.
Lay Servants as Christian Transformational Leaders: Rev. Matthew Alexander
This course provides a better understanding of a holistic approach to participation in God’s mission to the world and equip lay servants for more effective missional engagement in their church and community.
Leading Worship: Athena Dickey and Ted Cathcart
This course focuses on the ministry of the servants who either regularly or occasionally leads a group or congregation in worship.
Soul Reset: Rev. Nellie Cloninger
Based on the book by Junius B. Dotson, this course helps laity discover and lead others into the spiritual power of self-care through the means of grace.
Spiritual Gifts: Toni Taylor (ZOOM only- January 11, 12, 18, and 19, 6:00-8:30pm)
Understanding spiritual gifts and how to use them to fulfill mission and ministry.
Transforming Evangelism: The Wesleyan Way: Rev. Dishawn Muldrow
Learn from John Wesley how to practice relational evangelism. Not just sharing our faith with others but also welcoming people into a community where they can grow in their faith.
