Classes Offered

Basic Course- Lay Servant Ministries: Scott McDonald

Participants are encouraged to discover and employ personal spiritual gifts and the importance of exercising servant leadership, developing future leaders, rooted in consistent spiritual practices, and being part of a small discipleship group.

Come to the Table: Jerry Newlon

This course is designed to understand Communion through art, music, film and video as well as traditional reading.

Dancing with Words: Shannon Higgins

This course will show how to develop missional communities and congregations based on the Wesleyan connection: holiness of heart leads to holiness of life; love participating in God’s mission in the world.

Discovering our Spiritual Gifts: Ann Alexander *Class will only be offered via Zoom

Understanding spiritual gifts and how to use them to fulfill mission and ministry.

Embracing Personal Prayer: Sharon Murphy

How to establish a daily practice for communicating with God.

Polity (Living Our Methodist Beliefs): Rev. Michael Leonhardt

This course will explore theology, witness, and organization that the UMC brings to the church universal, our history, and how all are needed in today’s world.
