Lord, grant us wisdom and caution as we begin to step back into our normal schedules. Some of us do not know we carry a virus that causes us no problem but may cause disease or death in a neighbor. Some of us have undiagnosed conditions and we may fearlessly cast caution to the wind – only to find ourselves unexpectedly ill in a serious way.
We thank you, Lord, that things have not been as bad as predicted. We cannot know how safe a return to normal will be until we try. Give us caution and care for one another to ease into “normal” slowly and carefully and with concern for all those around us.
Make us mindful that we are indeed our neighbor’s keeper. Help us keep each other safe. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
