The Conference Historical Society will host a special program on November 7, 2015 at 10:00 am at Wofford College in the Sandor Teszler Library. Conference and Wofford archivist Dr. Phillip Stone will talk about some of the historically significant items that are held in the Conference Archives, which provide a fascinating glimpse into our shared history.
In addition to books, manuscripts, correspondence, clippings, and other types of paper materials, a number of the Methodist collections at Wofford contain non-paper records, such as photographs and mementos. Dr. Stone will present several of these items as well as discussing the manuscript collections of Methodists such as Adlai Holler, Eben Taylor, Melvin Medlock, Allan Broome, and Mary Belle Winn.
This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the holdings of our Conference Archives. For more information about the Historical Society please go to our webpage at: https://www.umcsc.org/home/home/historical-society/
