Full Time, Exempt Position

In the great venn diagram of churches, FVUMC sits in a unique position  it is a thriving church family that has been leading and serving its community for well over 100 years and at the same time is much like a mature church-plant having made a significant transformation and relocation in the early 2000s. This is a church with a great deal of history, and also a great deal of potential energy ready to be deployed to serve a fast-growing and diverse town. Two new families a day are moving into our neighborhood, and just to our south, we are expecting 15,000 new neighbors in the next decade. Our community needs our church to thrive, to develop leaders, and to send people out into all the places we live, work, and play to care and serve. And, our church needs you to come help be a part of this awesome work.

The work of this specific position is even more important now. The first of our two congregational imperatives for 2022 is to Cultivate Community. That is, to tend, prune, and care for the communities that exist and to give life to new places for people to connect up, in, and out. We have a great team of leaders in place who are ready to join you in developing strategies and equipping leaders to help our church family build deeper and more meaningful relationships with Jesus, with each other, and with our community.

You will also join a staff team that really loves what they do, that’s got each other’s backs, and that laughs together often.
