Reinstatement
Certified Candidacy, the approval to be Licensed as a Local Pastor if Appointed, and the approval for Clergy from other Conferences or Denominations to serve United Methodist Congregations (Approval for Service) are statuses in the United Methodist Church that do not convey Conference Membership. Those appointed as Licensed Local Pastors are Clergy members of the Annual Conference only while serving under appointment. Reinstatement is the process of returning to one of theses Statuses if you have been discontinued or withdrew. Reinstatement information can be found below. Please make sure to find the correct process for the status to which you desire to be reinstated.
