MACEDONIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH – 402 North Main Street, Mullins, South Carolina

Part time (20 hours per week Monday-Thursday) – Average hourly Rate $20

Job Description:

Working closely with Pastor, staff, volunteer leaders and the congregation to support the operation and overall ministry of the church.  Responsibilities will include serving as a primary point of contact and representative of the church to those who contact or visit the office.

Qualifications:

-2 years clerical / administration experience preferred.

-Excellent organizational skill (attention to detail).

-Proficient email and calendar management.

-Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Publisher and Excel), QuickBooks and Payroll software.

-Comprehension of basic accounting principles.

-Pleasant, caring, and patient demeanor.

-Ability to exercise high degree of discretion and integrity in dealing with confidential personal and sensitive information.

Responsibilities:

-Communication via emails, telephone and in person.

-Accounts payable and receivable.

-Update financial spreadsheets.

-Payroll and taxes.

-Reconcile all bank statements.

-Production of weekly bulletins and monthly newsletter.

-Purchase all supplies.

-Manage the member data base.

-Website updates as needed.

-Assist in communicating relevant information that needs to be posted on social media.

-Maintain a professional appearance.

-Productive interaction and planning with staff members.
