Rev. Lollis

Bishop L. Jonathan Holston has appointed the Rev. Christopher M. Lollis as the benefits officer for the South Carolina Annual Conference, effective July 1, 2018.

The Conference Board of Pension and Health Benefits recommended Rev. Lollis, and the Conference Staff Relations Committee approved.

Rev. Anderson

Rev. Lollis, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Darlington, will succeed the Rev. David Anderson, who has served as the conference benefits officer since 2005 and will retire at the 2018 Annual Conference in June.

Rev. Lollis was born in Simpsonville, South Carolina, and is a graduate of Williamson Christian College (now Williamson College) in Franklin, Tennessee, from which he earned a bachelor’s degree in leadership and ministry. Rev. Lollis worked more than 10 years for software development firms that provide companies with payroll and human resources solutions.

Being called to ordained ministry, Rev. Lollis was ordained in 2010 following his 2008 graduation from Erskine Theological Seminary with a master of divinity degree. Before his appointment to Trinity UMC, Rev. Lollis served Augusta Road UMC-Piedmont; First UMC-Clover; the Mathews-Harris-Ebenezer Charge in the Greenwood District; and Mount Lebanon UMC-Shelbyville in the Tennessee Annual Conference.

In addition to Rev. Lollis’ work in local churches, he has served in many ways, including on the Conference Board of Pension and Health Benefits, on district Connectional Ministries teams and a district Board of Church Location and Building, and as a mentor for Clergy Mentor Groups. He currently serves as vice chairperson of the Conference Commission on Equitable Compensation.

Rev. Lollis is married to Donna Lollis, and they have one child.
