Bishop L. Jonathan Holston has invited everyone in the South Carolina Conference to engage in study of “Wonder, Love and Praise” – a document produced by the Committee on Faith and Order of the United Methodist Church to discern how we as United Methodists understand what it means to be the Church.
“South Carolina United Methodists daily live out the call to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world in powerful ways,” Bishop Holston said in an open letter to all church members. “As a conference, we model connection and collaboration at the local, district and conference levels.
“I hope you will add your voice to that of other United Methodists in shaping this theological statement about how God brings us together as Church, the Body of Christ.”
Here is what Bishop Holston is asking you to do:
- Commit to having your small group, Sunday school class, women’s or men’s group, Bible study group, or entire congregation participate in this four-week study during Advent.
