Registration is now open for the 2018 Granville Hicks Leadership Academy for Laity and Clergy, scheduled for Feb. 1-2 at Claflin University in Orangeburg.
The theme of the 2018 academy is “How Congregations Can Reach the New Generation.”
The Granville Hicks Leadership Academy honors the Rev. Dr. Granville A. Hicks, a distinguished 1957 Claflin graduate recognized for his leadership as a pastor and district superintendent in the South Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church.
The academy equips laity and clergy for ministry and leadership within the church by empowering them with biblical knowledge, intellectual growth and theological reflection. This enhances church development, renewal and mission outreach.
Participants can earn 2.5 continuing education units.
