“Following in the Footsteps of Jesus” is the theme of the 2018 Adult Spiritual Life Retreat, scheduled for Feb. 6-8 in North Charleston.
Lois Tverberg, author of “Walking in the Dust of Rabbi Jesus,” will lead workshops at the retreat, along with five other presenters:
- Whitney Simpson (“Following In Jesus’ Footsteps Through Holy Listenings”)
- William Randolph (“Following Jesus and Leaving a Lasting Legacy 101”)
- Thomas Hawkins (“Every Step A Prayer”)
- Hess B. “Doc” Hall Jr. (“Walking Through the Dust of Grief”)
- Jack Hansen (“Walking Through the Dust of Retirement: The Personal and Spiritual Dimensions”)
The retreat, sponsored by Adult Ministries of the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church (formerly Older Adult Ministries), will take place at the North Charleston Marriott, 4770 Goer Drive.
Retreat registration
There are two tiers of registration for this event:
Commuters
- Those who are going to be “commuters” from the Charleston area or are
planning lodging other than the North Charleston Marriott. - Commuters will pay a $50 per person registration fee ($60 after Dec. 1). You will be able to buy a commuter meal package (3 meals) for $163.
Staying at the North Charleston Marriott
- Those staying at the Marriott will pay a package fee of $250 (registration, 5
meals, 1 reception). - After completing the Conference registration, you will receive an email with a link and phone number to make a hotel reservation directly through Marriott.
- Room cost for two nights (including taxes and fees):
Single occupancy: $275.32/person
Double occupancy: $137.66/person
Triple occupancy: $91.77/person
Quad occupancy: $68.83/person
