Dr. H. Eddie Fox is the World Director of Evangelism, The World Methodist Council. He is responsible for leading 16 Regional Secretaries of World Evangelism in developing indigenous evangelism on every continent. The World Methodist Council, an association of churches belonging to the Methodist/Wesleyan tradition and representing over 76 million constituents in more than 138 countries, through its Division of World Evangelism is challenging member congregations to Offer Christ Today. As the World Director, Dr. Fox preaches World Evangelism missions, develops holistic models of evangelism ministry of word, deed and sign, teaches, and encourages lay and clergy to be about the ministry of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
Prior to his election as World Director in January 1989, Dr. Fox served as the chief staff Executive of Evangelism for the 9.7 million-member United Methodist Church. While serving on the General Board of Discipleship, Dr. Fox created the Key Event celebration program, directed and expanded the New Life Mission and the New World Mission, developed the widely used video, Faith-Sharing, and was the visionary and planner for the highly successful national schools of evangelism.. He served as pastor of congregations in the Holston Conference for 16 years.
He is the author of several books, including Grace-Esteem, Living a New Life, Inherit the Kingdom, Getting the Story Straight (co-author), In the Meantime (Co-author) Faith-Sharing (Co-author), Let the Redeemed of the Lord, SAY SO! (Co-author), and The Faith-Sharing New Testament With Psalms (Co-author). Dr. Fox has preached and lectured in more than 80 countries and national and international conferences and convocations of evangelism and youth. He is often referred to as the "best known Methodist evangelist in the World."
Dr. Fox is a former faculty member of the Billy Graham Schools of Evangelism which have enabled, equipped and encouraged thousands of pastors from more than a hundred denominations to be about the task of evangelization. He has been noted in the National best selling secular book, Selling the Dream by Guy Kawasaki, "bar none, the best speaker and speech instructor that I've ever seen."
A graduate of Hiwassee Junior College (Associate Arts) and Tennessee Wesleyan (B.A.), he completed the theological degree (B.D.) at Emory University/Candler School of Theology achieving the Dean's Award for the highest academic average of his class. In addition, he earned the Doctorate from Vanderbilt Divinity School, received the Doctor of Divinity degree from Tennessee Wesleyan, and the Doctor of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. In 1994 he was recognized for his creative and committed ministry of World evangelization by receiving the Distinguished Evangelist Award from the Foundation for Evangelism of the United Methodist Church. In January 1996 he was presented the Phillip Award by the National Association of United Methodist Evangelists and in 2000 received the World Methodist Council’s prestigious “seat of honor.”
He and his wife, Mary Nell, are the parents of a daughter, Gaye Nell, and twin sons Tim and Tom. They are the very proud grandparents of six grandchildren, Arden, Grayson, William, Simon, Jasmine and Riley.

The Rev. Dr. Ernest Etheredge

The Reverend Dr. Ernest C. Etheredge was born in Saluda, South Carolina
He received a Master of Divinity Degree from the Interdenominational Theological Seminary-Gammon Seminary, Atlanta, Georgia. It was at Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina that he earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree.
Ernest C. Etheredge has served the United Methodist Church on both the District and Conference levels. Many churches within the South Carolina Conference have been proud to claim him as their pastor.
He not only served as an Adjunct Professor at Benedict College, Columbia College, and Claflin University, he held the position of chaplain at Clafllin University.
Earnest is married to Gwendolyn Etheredge. They have three children, Anthony, Lakicha, and Ivan, as well as seven grandchildren, Javon, Micah, Macala, Anthony, Namayah, Monet, and Islan
Ernest served in the U. S. Army for two years prior to being discharged with honors. |

Bishop Robert Fannin

Fannin was born in Ashland, Kentucky, but spent his childhood in Brooksville, Florida. In March 1956 he married Faye Thomas of Wauchula, Florida. They met while students at Florida Southern College. They have three children: Stephanie, Allison and Robb; and seven grandchildren.
Robert earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Florida Southern. He earned his M.Div. degree and a Doctorate of Sacred Theology from Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. His doctoral project dealt with the local minister’s professional relationship to other helping professions.
Before entering the ministry, Robert was part of the J.C. Penney management training program, served in the U.S. Army, and became a representative for Burroughs Corporation.
Following completion of his doctoral studies, the Rev. Dr. Fannin served churches in the Florida Annual Conference of the U.M. Church, pastoring in Lake Alfred, Gainesville and Stuart. In June 1986 he was appointed Superintendent of the Miami District. Then in June 1991 he was appointed to First U.M.C. of Lakeland, Florida.
He served the Florida Annual Conference as the Chairperson of the Board of Ordained Ministry, as President of the Credit Union, and as Chairperson of the Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry. He served the larger Church as a member of the U.M. General Council on Ministries and as President of the Southeastern Jurisdictional Court of Appeals. He also participated on the faculties of Schools of Christian Mission around the Southeastern United States for many years.
Bishop Fannin was elected by the 1992 Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference of the U.M. Church. He was assigned to the Birmingham Episcopal Area (the North Alabama Annual Conference).

Lurone was born in Lafayette, Alabama, but grew up in the South side inner city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is a 1972 graduate of Howard High School, where he became an outstanding athlete in football, basketball and track. His athletic and academic skills earned him a football scholarship to Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, one of the most prestigious Black Colleges in the country. Lurone earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education in 1977. After graduating from Fisk University, he returned to Chattanooga and began his teaching and coaching career with the Chattanooga City School System. During his coaching career Lurone had the pleasure of coaching NFL Star, Reggie White, former Green Bay Packer, All-Pro Defensive End. He also coached Olympic Gold Medallist, Venus Lacy, who starred on the US Women’s Olympic Basketball Team.
In 1983 Lurone became a committed disciple for Jesus and in 1986 he was licensed and ordained as a Baptist Minister. He attended Beraccah Bible Institute and earned a Certificate of Study in 1988. In 1992 he received a Master’s Degree in Education, with a concentration in Administration and Supervision, from Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville, TN.
In 1992, Lurone became Principal of his alma mater, Howard School of Academics and Technology, the largest inner city high school in Chattanooga. He later moved to the school system’s Central Office as Director of Drug Education and Athletics, with responsibility for programs in forty-one schools.
After much prayer and 18 years of working with youth in the public schools of Chattanooga, in 1995 Lurone heard the Voice and felt the hand of Jesus calling him into full-time ministry. He was appointed founding pastor of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church, now known as Bethlehem-Wiley United Methodist Church. He jointly serves as the Executive Director of the United Methodist Neighborhood Centers, Inc. otherwise known as the Bethlehem Center. He is one of the founders of the Bethlehem Community Development Credit Union, the first of its kind to be chartered in the State of Tennessee. He is the founder and Head Coach of The V-Team Leadership Network providing a "VOICE with VISION and VICTORY for the Game of Life." He is the Associate Publisher for the Chattanooga Courier, an African American owned newspaper. Lurone is also a member of the National Association of United Methodists Evangelists (NAUME) and is an affiliate Leadership Coach with the International Leadership Institute (ILI).
In 2005 Lurone released his book, "Crisis in Urban America", which reveals his vision for dealing with the many problems plaguing our inner city communities.
Lurone is married to Glinda H. Jennings and they have 3 children, Lurone Jr., Luronda and David, as well as three granddaughters, Ania, Tymber, and Nadia. Lurone also shares his faith and ministry through his revivals, conferences, workshops, and sermons in other churches, schools, and ministries throughout the country. |
